I get SO many messages on Instagram from girls asking me what a "normal" day of eating looks like for me.
That's always a hard question for me to answer because honestly, every single day of eating is different. Sure, I love my usual stuff like bagels and pretzels and oranges. But truthfully, I don't eat the same thing day after day, or the same amount.
However, I understand that in the early stages of recovery, we struggle with knowing what is normal or how much is actually enough. Especially when we're surrounded by a diet-obsessed culture and when that girl we follow on Instagram posts a picture of a handful of lettuce leaves as "lunch".
So with that, here's to my first WIAW. Remember this isn't about comparing or judging. It's about seeing how I eat in recovery and hopefully getting some delicious inspiration!
A toasted bagel with gobs of strawberry cream cheese and the biggest cup of coffee imaginable. And my usual banana. Waking up this morning was tough after being at the beach!
Lebanon bologna sandwich with ruffle potato chips and side salad (not pictured). Also topped it off with a couple handfuls of peanut butter M&Ms. Those things are sooooo addicting!
I've weirdly been craving Lebanon bologna (used to eat them alllll the time as a kid) and I finally bought some at the store! Seriously this lunch made me so so so happy!
Clif Kidz Chocolate Chip bar (my current favorite granola bar) eaten at my desk while trying to stay awake. It's my first day back from vacation! Plus two big glasses of milk and a banana.
Still haven't gotten to the grocery store since we got back from our trip so the fridge is pretty sad. Plus, it's rainy and cold here.... perfect night for some Papa John's! Ate half this bad boy. That garlic butter is heaven in a cup!
Slice of leftover chocolate chip cake from work, lots of Goldfish crackers, and a big juicy pear.
Thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for the linkup as always!
